Above here is a screenshot of the first activity completed in my first process and production workshop. As most of the students, including myself, are new to the software avaliable, these lessons work as step by step guides to gradually build knowledge. Here Adobe InDesign was used.
This was the first time I had ever used this so initially found it very difficult to maintain the pace that other people were possessing when navigating the tools. However this soon quickened as more and more features discovered seems similar to their counterparts on Photoshop (something used frequently.) The new emphasis of work I found was on grid structures- and how essential these are in the work of many famous graphic designers. The examples used here were by Joseph Muller-Brockmann. Which each have similar characteristics to each other regarding geometric shapes and typography. Collectively and individually we worked on replicating this style. Although I am happy with the finished effect- more practice is needed on this software in order to utilise it as effectively as possible for the best work.
Here are my examples (on the left hand side of each screen capture)
