In order to focus our research, we used pre-set topics in order to fully explore a single "place".
First was frames, this was my note page, including an official definition.
Secondly was grids. This is essential is graphic design, as it works as a guide in both collecting research (observation drawings, rule of thirds in photography), and in designing.

Macro is displayed below. This in design is seeing the big picture, the whole scene. However can also mean the close up, detailed images produced using a digital camera. This was the definition I was accustom to, as I had studied photography previous to the course.
Micro is the opposite of macro. This is the single item or detail with in a composition. Here a small illustration of a stick man reflects how the micro perspective would focus on the watch on the wrist.
