interconnections

Global economic structures are in a state of flux, due to;
political reasons
cultural reasons
social reasons
technological reasons

As these factors change and arise, new opportunities arise as well as new threats.
It instills moral and ethical issues for each of us to deal with.
Each of these global issues is interconnected, and are the key elements for the immediate future. Although they are still open to change and development. And this is a backdrop for our careers and the businesses we will be involved in.

National Economy is affected by the global economy, these result in changes; induced or directed.

Induced Effects-
external changed to the UK cause internal changes. "Externalities"

Exchange rates can change on a daily basis, and this affects you significantly, as is influenced trading ability.

Directed Effects-
These effects are related to internal changed which have an affect on the national economy
e.g. tax changes, legal changed and financial changes.
Some of these changed may be a result of external forces (tariffs, quotas)
These can be local or national, like social issues are for example. (business rates, council tax)
These will affect us as designers but also to the clients.

Market Issues
competitors- do similar work, and those who may attract clients money, but are not directly competitors.

Your business
is there a specialism that is utilised, can it be utilised for the market sector.
You may need to diversify to be what is needed. 
If you take this generalist approach, make sure you are good and business like. 
It is essential to continually assess the markets.
